Dan Arczynski is corporate vice president of strategy at Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII). Named to this position in 2011, Arczynski has staff responsibility for strategic planning and development, non-shipbuilding market growth, and mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and joint ventures.

Prior to this position and since 2008, Arczynski served as vice president of strategic planning and development at Northrop Grumman Shipbuilding. Arczynski began his shipbuilding career at Newport News Shipbuilding in 1995 as the director of corporate strategy. His responsibilities included strategy development, mergers and acquisitions, and the evaluation of new business opportunities and ventures.

Prior to joining Newport News, Arczynski was vice president of strategy and vice president of mergers and acquisitions for Shawmut National Corp. in Connecticut. Prior to Shawmut, he was a management consultant for Marakon Associates.

Arczynski earned a bachelor's degree from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1978 and served for 12 years as an officer in the U.S. Army. He also holds a master's degree in business administration with highest distinction from Harvard University and graduated as a Baker Scholar in 1986.
