Tom Schievelbein

RETIRED CHAIRMAN, PRESIDENT AND CEO OF THE BRINK’S COMPANY

Tom Schievelbein is a retired chairman, president and CEO of The Brink’s Co. Prior to Brink’s, Schievelbein served as president of Northrop Grumman Newport News and was a member of the Northrop Grumman Corporate Policy Council from November 2001 until November 2004. He also served as chief operating officer of Newport News Shipbuilding Inc. from 1995 until 2001 and was responsible for the design, construction and maintenance of nuclear-powered aircraft carriers and submarines.

Schievelbein has served on the board of directors of New York Life Insurance Co. since 2006 and currently serves as chairman of its compensation committee and as a member of its investment and its governance and policy committees. Before serving as chairman of Brink’s board of directors, he served as a member of its audit and compensation committees. He also previously served on the board of directors of McDermott International Inc.

Schievelbein is a past member of the Secretary of the Navy’s Advisory Panel and was a director of the U.S. Naval Academy Foundation from 2004 through 2012.

He received a bachelor’s degree in marine engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy and a master’s degree in nuclear engineering from the University of Virginia.
