The Heart Walk is the American Heart Association’s premiere fundraising event to raise awareness and fund research on this country’s No. 1 and No. 3 killers – heart disease and stroke. This year, more than 1 million walkers will participate in nearly 350 Heart Walks including employees at Ingalls Shipbuilding, Newport News Shipbuilding, AMSEC and Huntington Ingalls Industries.

– Southside Heart Walk – Mt. Trashmore – 9 a.m. Saturday October 25, 2014
Ingalls Shipbuilding employees showed they were all heart when they participated in Jackson County’s Heart Walk in March of this year.
The Heart Walk is designed to promote physical activity and heart-healthy living, the Heart Walk creates an environment that’s fun and rewarding for the entire family. Your participation helps raise awareness and strengthen the Heart Association’s fight to save lives by reducing heart disease and stroke.
