Los ALamos, NM. (Feb 7, 2018) N3B hosted a community Meet & Greet at Cottonwood on the Greens in Los Alamos on Feb. 5, 2018. Approximately 200 people attended. Both Brian Mathis, SN3 Acting Chief Operating Officer (lead partnercompany of N3B) and Frazer Lockhart, N3B Regulatory & Stakeholder Interface Manager, spoke to the crowd to introduce the new company to Los Alamos and the region. Attendees included many current cleanup employees, members of the Los Alamos County Council, including the Chair and Vice Chair, members of the Los Alamos County staff, the Director of the LANL Major Subcontractors Consortium, the Director of the Regional Development Corporation, the Director of the Regional Coalition of LANL Communities, Board members from the LANL Foundation, Directors and representatives from the LACDC, the Chamber of Commerce, the Main Street program, and many others.
NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (Dec. 20, 2017) — Huntington Ingalls Industries (NYSE:HII) announced today that the U.S. Department of Energy has awarded the Los Alamos Legacy Cleanup Contract to Newport News Nuclear BWXT Los Alamos, LLC (N3B), a joint venture led by SN3, part of HII’s Technical Solutions division, with partner BWX Technologies, Inc.
The work will be conducted at the U.S. Department of Energy/National Nuclear Security Administration’s Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL), a 36-square mile site in Los Alamos county about 25 miles northwest of Santa Fe, New Mexico.
