Anastasia Kelly

SENIOR ADVISOR TO THE CHAIR AND EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF CLIENT RELATIONS, DLA PIPER

Anastasia Kelly is senior advisor to the chair and executive director of client relations of DLA Piper.

Prior to joining DLA Piper, Kelly was an executive officer of American International Group, Inc., serving as executive vice president and general counsel and as vice chairman, positions for which she was responsible for addressing legal, regulatory, corporate governance and risk management issues. Prior to joining American International Group, she was an executive and general counsel of several large, publicly traded companies, including MCI WorldCom, Sears, Roebuck and Co., and the Federal National Mortgage Association (Fannie Mae).

Kelly serves as a director of Owens-Illinois, Inc., the world’s largest manufacturer of glass containers. She serves as chair of that board’s risk committee, as a member of its risk committee, and as a member of its governance and nominating committee.

Kelly also serves as a director of the Cardiovascular Institute at George Washington University Hospital and is a member of the Rock Center for Corporate Governance at Stanford University Law School. She previously served as chair of Equal Justice Works and as a director for Lawyers for Children America.

Kelly earned a bachelor’s degree, cum laude, from Trinity University and a juris doctor, magna cum laude, from George Washington University Law School. She is a member of the Texas Bar and the District of Columbia Bar and a fellow of the American Bar Foundation.
