Transforming Our Communities
At Huntington Ingalls Industries, we make it a point to highlight our employees who volunteer in the communities where we operate. Through their work, these volunteers embody our corporate motto of “Hard Stuff Done Right,” and they prove, every day, that HII produces much more than the ships we build and the services we provide.
A Message from HII President and CEO Mike Petters
"It has been another amazing year for HII. We delivered three ships: the guided missile destroyer USS Paul Ignatius, the National Security Cutter Midgett and the attack submarine Delaware... But I want this year-end message to focus less on what we did and more on how we did it …With a focus on execution … transformation … collaboration … and engagement."
Building a Culture of Wellness
At its core, the goal of Huntington Ingalls Industries’ benefits and wellness strategy is to make sure every employee has the opportunity to do his or her best work every day. To make this happen, we developed a strategy focused on three things: a healthy body, a healthy wallet and a healthy mind. These three components are intertwined when it comes to our total well-being, and they can contribute to or hinder an employee’s success.
